Supported Employment

Free, one-on-one help finding and keeping meaningful work.

Since its inception, Equal Opportunities West has provided supported employment services to the community. Our Supported Employment Services (SES) is a free resource for anyone with a disability — including self-declared disabilities and mental-health concerns — as well as people who face other barriers to employment, such as a language barrier.

Each year, 30 to 40 job-seekers work with us to develop or improve their resumes, complete job applications, prepare for interviews, and work with potential employers to secure steady, long-term employment. The goal is for each person to be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week in a role that suits their strengths.

Funding provided by the Government of Canada and the Manitoba Government.
