Direct Support Professional
Equal Opportunities West is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this role you'll support participants day to day, help them build independence, and be a positive presence in their lives.

- $15.00–$16.00 / hour
- Schedule
- Day shift, Mon–Fri

What you'll do
- Serve as a positive role model and provide emotional, physical, personal, social, and vocational support
- Promote independence and support participants in making their own decisions
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and personal care as needed
- Handle conflict resolution, crisis management, and de-escalation with care
- Transport participants safely and maintain a safe, organized environment
- Keep accurate communication logs and incident reports
What we look for
- Openness to learning about intellectual disabilities (ASL an asset)
- First Aid, CPR, NVCI, and Vulnerable Persons Act orientation (or willingness to obtain)
- A clean Driver's Abstract
- Criminal Record, Adult Abuse Registry, and Child Abuse Registry checks
